Jakob grew up the only son of an aristocratic family of Nohr. His parents were fairly busy and so he only ever had contact with the maids. It was them who would take care of young Jakob throughout the majority of his childhood. As he grew older, Jakob's parents grew out of favor with the king and as a last attempt to regain favor, the couple gave up their son Jakob to the king to work as a servant. As a young servant, Jakob was beaten and ridiculed by adults and by other young servants. He was not used to this harsh labor and often messed up, making more work for himself and his fellow servants, which did not endear him to them in the first place. At night, young Jakob would cry to himself, hating himself, his parents and the older servant boys who made his life a living hell. One night, he was doing just that when the young princess Alyssa found him and decided they were to be best friends. After that day, Jakob's life steadily improved as he got better at his tasks over time and was eventually requested by Alyssa to be their personal butler.

⚜Having grown up without his parent's influence, Jakob grew to hate them, blaming them for everything that happened to him. He is however, somewhat thankful for the fact that without their actions he would have never been brought into the service of the young prince/princess.

⚜Having not known what it was like to have parents aside the guidance of Gunter, Jakob would not believe himself to be the best man to raise a child. He may be tough on Dwyer, but he truly does love his son deep down inside.

⚜Jakob is averse to talking with people aside his liege but is courteous to other royalty such as Alyssa's family. Outside of the family however he allows his more severe and snarky side to take root.

⚜Jakob does not take criticism very well and though he sees Gunter as a father figure, Jakob feels like he may be too hard on the young butler, even if he knows deep down it is for his own good.

⚜Jakob is averse to relaxing or doing any kind of leisure activity, as he sees his duty to his liege comes first. As such, he will often work through any sickness he may have unless he is physically unable or has been ordered to rest by his liege.

⚜When Jakob was first left at the castle and he was treated poorly by the older servants each day, he learned quickly to hide his emotions. He would hide his emotions until night when he would allow himself to be upset, angry, any emotions he had taken in that day.

⚜Jakob has suffered from nightly nightmares from a young age, first manifesting shortly after his arrival at Castle Krackenburg. It was one of those nights after he had awoken and taken it upon himself to hide in a storage closet so he could cry and not wake the servants who would surely ridicule him, that he met Alyssa. The young royal helped him calm down and be able to relax, even though they hadn't exchanged more than glances before that. That was the beginning of Jakob's life turning around so he could serve the young princess. Nowadays, the nightmares have changed subject and aren't as common, but still occur. He doesn't tell his liege of them returning, because he does not want to worry them.

⚜Jakob is very easy to fluster, but in return is extremely romantic towards his wife. If either one do something cute for the other, it usually ends in both becoming flustered and red in the face from blush.

⚜Though he no longer has to work as he does for his wife's sake, Jakob refuses to step down as a butler. It is his duty to take care of his family, and it is also his duty to take care of the royal family. He takes pride in the fact that he can take care of Alyssa. In addition, he only allows Flora or Felicia (and Dwyer after he is born) to assist him in aiding his wife or children.

◈As of current, there is no particular Kana or Dwyer associated with Jakob (and his wife). Please talk to us if you want to fill that role. That being said, Jakob will not refuse interactions with Dwyer muses who wish to interact, even if they are not his own. Multiple timelines and stuff.
◈All sprites are my own creation and any art is either official or sourced accordingly.
◈Though Jakob is shipped with a single Kamui, he will serve all Corrin/Kamui if requested. He will simply see it as part of his duties as his liege's butler.
